All across the world the energy is universal. People are falling in love with a beautiful, relatively new culture, that has seen its' roots develop from the disco era of the 70's. Winnipeg is a fresh and awkward climate to be setting the scene ablaze in 2000. The familiar faces that pour into a party from the early hours of the evening to the wee hours of the morning are the reason why The Brotherhood has arisin! Irregardless of the pressures of being shut down or fucked with by municipal police and by ordinary folks who simply fear what they don't understand, a wide spectrum of youth has the pleasure of ascending to the summit of dual reality! Whether others label you as jock, queer, candy, hoochie, brain... it doesn't matter! Raves allow the spirit from within each and every dancer to be released, and everyone is viewed as one. Raves are like any other form of congregation: bars, clubs, meeting halls, churches, schools, etc., with the hugely noted difference: raves have the lowest level of Machissmo I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! Moreover, unlike any other group setting, you can take whatever aspect of the night you wish to absorb without the fear of dogmatic assholes bringing you down. Raves are a beautiful dual reality that coerces the heights of Love, Friendship, Dance, Elation, and positivity that's hidden within in a world of hate, prejudice, beaurocracy, lies, and fear! |
The art of Disc Jockey has evolved from the elite few who had access to equipment and music, to having every kid and his/her dog with a set of Tech 12's producing an album! The Brotherhood is a very young Winnipeg- based production company that symbolises everything that is pure in the music world. The main objective is to simply broaden the band of understanding of the scene that surrounds the tech culture and to make everyone get the Fuck up and go dance!
